The Goldendoodle, sometimes called a Groodle, sprung into popularity in the 1990’s. These gentle giants are affectionate, intelligent socialites. Their life span of these designer puppies is generally 12-15 years. The standard size is usually 20-24 inches tall at the shoulders and ours are about 40-60 pounds, but it would depend on the size of the parents. The Goldendoodle is highly trainable puppies and often trained as guide dogs, service dogs, therapy dogs, and sniffer dogs. Several of our puppies have been trained for therapy dogs in Ohio.Goldendoodles are not, however, suitable as guard or watch dogs because of their lack of aggressiveness. The Goldendoodle makes a wonderful family pet. They are puppies that are good with children. They are non to light shedders and a possible match for those with allergies - hypoallergenic puppies. They should be brushed at least a couple times a week and groomed as needed.
